.

OVERVIEW.

 We aim to provide charitable grants that:

Underprivileged Youth: Support the  holistic development of low-income youth through sports, academic and development programs that increase access to higher learning and provide lifelong skills such as leadership, perseverance and teamwork.

Disadvantaged Communities: Enhance the livelihood of low-income or marginalized communities through initiatives that provide food, shelter, basic necessities, access to social inclusion and other enrichments.

Environmental Sustainability: Protect Hong Kong’s environmental ecosystem through charitable grants and programs that improve air, land and sea health. As well as promote awareness and  solutions for these environmental issues.

We work to achieve our mission through three main programs:

GRANT GIVING
& EDUCATION
.

OUR GRANTS+ MODEL

The American Club Foundation works on an innovative “Grants+” model that does much more than just charitable donations. We work with beneficiary organizations to identify areas of need, design appropriate grant proposals and set expectations for success. We also give feedback at every stage of the process. It’s the best way we’ve found to create a deep connection between donors and beneficiaries and to have a direct, measurable and lasting impact.

Eligible Grantees must: â€‹

  • Be registered under Section 88 as charitable organizations;

  • Receive less than 30% of their budget from government subvention and/or  The Hong Kong Jockey Club;

  • Exhibit an annual turnover of < HK$15,000,000;

  • Champion programs that benefit Hong Kong;

  • Focus on Underprivileged Youth, Disadvantaged Communities or Environmental Sustainability.

ACF will not provide funds for:

  • Individuals

  • Overseas organizations

  • Fund-raising activities

  • Organizations not having a registered non-profit-making/charitable status

  • Organizations promoting a political object or party, procuring changes in laws or procuring reversal of governing policy
