Join us to deliver and distribute Chinese New Year bags to the elderly in Tuen Mun with Giving Bread. Help us bring some warmth to the elderly and wish them a Happy, Healthy and more Prosperous Chinese New Year!

About The Event
The American Club Foundation is partnering with Giving Bread to deliver food bags to the elderly in Tuen Mun, which is one of the Hong Kong districts with the highest rate of elderly living on the poverty line. Giving Bread aims to bridge the gap between food wastage on one hand and hunger on the other by collecting and distributing food to the elderly.
Date: January 16, 2023
Time: 2:00pm - 4:45pm
Pick up Point: American Club Country Club
Drop off Point: Tuen Mun (Specific address will be sent by the charity separately later)
Volunteer will:
1. Pick up 150 food bags at American Club Country Club at 2:00pm
2. Drive and drop off the food bags at Distribution Centre in Tuen Mun at 3:30pm
3. Distribute food bags to the elderly in Tuen Mun
RAT requirement: Do RAT test the day of 16 Jan 2023 before meeting with the elderly
Language Requirement: Basic conversational Cantonese
Remarks:
1. Exercise extra vigilance regarding self care and health before meeting with the elderly persons who are in the high risk group
2. Give out each bag with gentleness and respect
3. Welcome to chat with the grandpas and grandmas and give them words of blessings and explain what each bag contains
