Chatteris Educational Foundation: Chatteris Environment Workshops

On April 29th, Chatteris is looking to host an environmental-themed excursion event with around 60 students. This event will be in cooperation with 2 other NGOs to deliver a combined 3 workshops throughout the day. This will be held in a "round-robin" structure where the 60 students will be split into three groups of 20, with each group spending one hour at each NGO workshop with a 15 minute break after.

The workshops will consist of:

1. Climate disaster management (hosted by Chatteris). A workshop on climate disaster management in Hong Kong including a brief introduction to the topic and an interactive segment.
2. Renewable energy & single-use plastic (hosted by A Plastic Ocean). An introduction to wind energy and its context in Hong Kong with a STEM segment whereby students build their own wind powered device.
3. Ecology and Music (hosted by LumiVoce). An introduction to ecology in Hong Kong, with a segment tying in ecology with music and dance.

Volunteer roles: 

• Mingle with students and support them during group discussions
• Engage in the different activities run by the three NGOs

Remarks:

• Need to attend safeguarding training and have an overview of the workshops before attending.
• Need proof of vaccination.
